We regret to inform you that KakaoTalk PC version will soon discontinue update support for Windows versions 7, 8 and 8.1.
As Microsoft and Google are terminating security updates and technical support for Windows 7, 8, and 8.1, major features of KakaoTalk PC version have been affected.
Therefore, Kakao has decided to end support for Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 to ensure better and more safe services.
Details regarding end of support are as follows:
Service to be terminated: Update support for Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 (up until KakaoTalk PC 3.8.0)
Termination date: Around April 2024
If you are using Window 7, 8 or 8.1, you may still use KakaoTalk PC versions lower than 3.8.0.
But please note that you will not be able to use latest KakaoTalk PC versions to be updated after the end of support date.
Please update your device to the latest Windows version to enjoy latest features available on the KakaoTalk PC version.
